Ford writes that drivers who are looking to performance cars experience driving as an "absolute emotional, positive experience," and the new crop of younger buyers are willing to spend extra money for a more thrill-inducing ride. This year Ford will sell more than 200,000 performance cars globally, a number that is almost double the volume from 2013.
