Ford's Growing Line of Performance Cars Appeals To Younger Buyers

Ford writes that drivers who are looking to performance cars experience driving as an "absolute emotional, positive experience," and the new crop of younger buyers are willing to spend extra money for a more thrill-inducing ride. This year Ford will sell more than 200,000 performance cars globally, a number that is almost double the volume from 2013. Ford's growing line of performance cars is appealing to a whole new generation of drivers who are ready to make the investment into a car that offers more speed and the driving thrill you won't find in a standard automobile. The Ford performance lineup includes the Mustang, Focus RS, Focus ST and Fiesta ST, but Ford has promised to grow the line to 12 all-new models by 2020, including two this year: F-150 Raptor and Ford GT.
