In a blog post last May we talked up the Chrysler 200 Convertible. Unfortunately, it's a little too cold to be thinking of letting our hair blow on the open road. However, at Ralph Sellers Chrysler Dodge and Jeep we have another Chrysler 200 we're just as excited about.
The press has gotten a chance to take an early look at the redesigns and concept cars coming out of the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, and we bet they were surprised at the new look this car has received.
The 2015 Chrysler 2000 has been updated extensively on both the outside and the inside. The exterior has been smoothed out, with less aggressive curves and a more aerodynamic look. The body is important, but as drivers we can likely agree that a car with a nice outside but an ill-equipped cabin is never any fun.
The Chrysler team really did an overhaul. Standard dashboard dials were moved into the center console to make room for a Uconnect Touchscreen (choose from either 5 in. or 8.4 in. options). You'll feel like you're piloting a starship from a sci-fi movie and you don't even have to learn all the complex math that normally goes along with the outer space job.
On an interior level, this impressive redesign also goes beyond the dials and technological gadgets car buyers are becoming to expect. Chrysler has worked hard in adding a touch of class.
The luxurious color schemes are based off of three cities (New York City, Sausalito, CA, and Detroit), and designers looked to the classic Eames lounge chair for inspiration in design and comfort; we agree that the seats look undeniably soft. This car embodies a new sense of style and sophistication.
