It's one thing to read about the latest 2013 RAM 1500 or other new truck, but it's another to ride in one with a professional performance driver on an obstacle course. This is just the experience some lucky folks had at the Columbus International Auto Show this past month.

As part of the RAM Off-Road Experience which occurred in the third week of March, visitors to the Chrysler Group Display had the opportunity to experience the height of a RAM truck's capabilities. Of course, the usual experience at an auto show is to see the latest models, and new concept cars, up on out-of-reach platforms. Still pretty cool, but very hands-off.

One thing we know about Baton Rouge area drivers is that they are more the hands-on type!

Here at Ralph Sellers Chrysler Dodge Jeep, we know our local drivers would have loved this amazing experience- so would we! While the event has passed, here is what the participants were able to experience.

The professional driver took attendees on a free ride up a specially designed RAM Mountain complete with obstacles like logs, rocks and bumps. They rode up a 30 degree angled wedge created to demonstrate the superior traction of the vehicle. Other obstacles were created just to demonstrate the vehicle's suspension and handling capabilities, so they must have been exciting! In fact, participants raved about the indoor obstacle event afterwards.

While we don't have a professional obstacle course in the showroom at 14215 N Airline Hwy, Gonzales, LA 70737 we can put you behind the wheel of any of our used trucks or new RAM models. Call us at (888)632-7901, or stop by today.
