When you are thinking about the latest and greatest, think Ralph Sellers. Right now you can already get into the brand new 2014 Jeep® Grand Cherokee. Yeah, the same SUV that has more awards than any other SUV. EVER!
The 2014 Grand Cherokee offers more luxurious features and provides better performance than ever! It integrates a classic styling of Jeep along with iconic features like the 7 slot grille and with it's new face comes some new options like the 8.4" Uconnect touch screen multimedia system.
The trim packages have been revamped a little. The trim groups go in order like this; Laredo, Limited, Overland, Summit, SRT. The SRT version is actually in its own class.
The Laredo Trim includes remote keyless entry, 5" Uconnect touch screen, body colored grille, cloth seats and 17" wheels. Standard engine is the 3.6L Pentastar V6 and they now come standard with an 8 speed automatic tranny in 2wd. Additional features are available like 18" wheels, power liftgate and adjustable traction control system in the Loredo X.
Moving up to the Limited trim gives you a significant jump in luxury amenities and features. Turn signal mirrors, Heated leather seats, heated steering wheel, 18" polished wheels, a 10 speaker sound system, a 2 speed transfer case on the optional 4wd, rear parking assist and remote start. You can also get the Limited trim with the option of 3 engines: Chrysler's flag ship V6, the Pentastar, the famous 5.7L Hemi V8 and 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 which gives you an estimated HWY MPG rating of 30!
Optional equipment can be added as well. The luxury package gives you availability of premium leather, high intensity head lamps, rain sensing wipers and panoramic sunroof. Also optional is the electronics package with adaptive cruise control, blind spot warning alerts, advanced brake assist and lane departure warning. That's some pretty sweet options to have running the roads!
The Overland is moving one trim level up from the Limited. More Luxury features become standard on the Overland, like multi adjustable seats, optional premium leather upgrade, leather on the dashboard and doors, wood grain steering wheel, and the 8.4" touch screen. You also get standard LED running lamps, and a moonroof. Very classy!
For most luxurious Grand Cherokee ever, the Overland Summit nearly everything is standard, including air suspension and the Quadra Drive 2 4wd system. To rattle a few more Summit exclusive items is the brown monochrome interior and an 825 watt, Harman Kardon sound system.
The SRT is actually in a class of it's own. It comes along with a beastly 6.4L Hemi V8, standard all wheel drive, an electronic Select Track system and Brembo brakes. The SRT interior gives you carbon fiber trim where the woodgrain would be located in others and suede seats. Optional on the SRT is the tow package, moonroof, rear seat Blu ray entertainment and premium speaker system.
